Our Lady of Lourdes Foundation, Inc is a fully owned 501c(3) subsidiary of Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center, Inc. This Foundation is formed to promote and support the religious, health and charitable activities of Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center. These activities are performed in accordance with the Ethical and Religious Directives for Catholic Health Facilities promulgated by the National Conference of Catholic Bishops; teaching, discipline, laws and traditions of the Roman Catholic Church; and the traditions of the Franciscan Missionaries of Our Lady.

The Foundation is designed to assist Our Lady of Lourdes in reaching out to the community to fulfill its mission through the five (5) Core Values of the Franciscan Missionaries of Our Lady Health System—service, reverence and love for all of life, joyfulness of spirit, humility and justice.

More About UsThe Lourdes Foundation is an affiliate of Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center, and thereby shares in her mission and devoted to "those most in need".

This humble mission of outreach was begun by Franciscan missionaries who arrived in Louisiana in 1911. The mission in which we have partnered requires us to research and identify unmet needs, especially to the poor, indigent, homeless, un-insured and underinsured. It is a large task dependent in collaboration with the Lafayette area community and the Catholic Diocese of Lafayette.

The Lourdes Foundation recognizes the Gospel message, "The poor will be with us always." This requires ongoing dedicated resources, and thus the formation of the Lourdes Foundation, Inc. In a unique way, the Lourdes Foundation allows the community to become directly involved in meeting the health needs of our community through tax-deductible donations.

In just a short period of time, the corpus has grown significantly, yet its strength can only be measured through the continued generosity of valued donors like YOU! Thousand of lives have already been touched by the Lourdes Foundation.

You can be an integral part of this extension of services offered by Our Lady of Lourdes to the community.

Through your generosity of cash donations, bequest, memorial donations, or endowments, Lourdes can continue to provide uncompensated services to the uninsured and the underinsured of the Acadiana area.

The hospital is also actively involved in various specialty programs to help serve the needs of those individuals who are suffering various disease

processes. The Camp Bluebird project that serves the cancer patients, the various support groups for patients and family members in the areas of diabetes education, ostomy care plus many other programs.The Foundation shall not engage in any purpose or activity which might be in conflict with the Ethical and Religious Directives of Catholic Health Facilities.Lourdes Foundation Grants & Application download
