An integral part of the healing ministry of the Lourdes Comminity is our talented, dedicated Volunteers. Working along side of our staff, this team of unselfish volunteers shares their life talents and delightful smiles, and go the extra mile to see that our our patients and guests receive added smiles and support during their stay at our medical center. You will find our volunteers in service throughout the medical center ministering in both patient care and support areas, working along side of our healthcare professionals: VOLUNTEERS ARE NOW NEEDED IN THE FOLLOWING AREAS: ICU Waiting Room – Answer phone, supervise entry of visitors, give information Anytime St. Bernadette Clinic - clerical and answering telephones SPD – stock shelves, put stickers on supplies Days / Evenings Scott Family Clinic – clerical and answering telephones Patient Representative – patient advocacy visiting patients and making sure their stay is going OK Tu, Thurs, Fri – AM Health Promotion Center – answer phones and work front desk Assist in monitoring the pool area. Outpatient Rehab – answer phones, data entry, filing, copying, faxing, running errands in the hospital 9am – 2pm Medical Records – Alphabetizing, keypunching, chart order, loose reports, pulling charts, making lists, other clerical Days/Evenings Oncology – visiting patients, answering phones, running errands in hospital, putting charts together Anytime including weekends Patient Care units - visiting patients, answering phones, running errands in hospital, putting charts together Anytime including weekends Information Desk – provide information to patients and visitors 7am – 6pm Congregational Health – Progressive Baptist Church & Immaculate Heart of Mary- General clerical Staff Development – assisting with clerical duties – 8am – 4pm Other sites available - Call for appointment Volunteers help out in virtually all areas of the hospital. From the person who wishes to give an hour or two per day or for the student wishing to gain a little hospital experience, we have a place for you.
